This listing is for a vintage art deco style frame, with a postcard / print of Mary from 1934. Beautiful reverse painted glass art deco frame with blue and cream colored details, and silver colored metal corner details.
The print is from the N.G. Basevi company, which was founded by "Nino" Giacomo Basevi in 1927 in Milan, Italy as a publisher of religious art. The company claims to be the first company to introduce color printing to holy cards. This print features a beautiful delicate depiction of the Virgin Mary. The back indicates it was litho printed in 1934 in the USA.
Condition: this is a vintage frame, nearly 100 years old, with signs of wear and use. The easel back no longer can hold the weight of the frame up— this frame would work best propped up on a shelf or metal easel (or easily add a wire and hang on the wall). The frame has some wear, discoloration, and patina on the metal corners. The print has some foxing (discoloration) and wear from age.
