This listing is for a set of 6 shot glasses and one large glass decanter, all handpainted with a beautiful sunburst face design. The bottom of the square shaped decanter says Amatitan Jalisco Mexico.
This was likely sold as a souvenir set in the 1970s from Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico—a historic region known as the birthplace of tequila!
A beautiful set that marries midcentury Mexican folk art with Y2K / 90s whimsigoth and celestial motifs. Would make a gorgeous display piece on a bar cart, home bar, or shelf / bookshelf. Fits in with many styles including rustic Mexican folk art, bohemian boho eclectic, and 90s celestial whimsigothic.
Condition: this set is in used vintage condition. The paint has suffered loss over the years, with many missing paint spots and flaking. Some degree of paint flaking is to be expected during the shipping process, as it is very delicate. These are more of a display piece than a functional use, as water / liquid may cause more paint loss.
