This listing is for a vintage Mexican folk art candelabra. This handmade Tree of Life sculpture can hold two candles. Features a branching, stylized tree structure with small molded bird or leaf motifs held up by a deer. A piece of traditional Mexican folk art, crafted in regions like Acatlán (associated with artisans like Herón Martínez Mendoza) or Metepec. It is hand-sculpted, unglazed terracotta or red clay.
This is a perfect addition to a southwestern style Arizona Ranch home. It has a distinct folk art global house design. Would be a great gift for someone who collects sculpted animal pottery.
Condition: Good vintage condition with no apparent breaks or cracks. All the pieces appear to be present. Some wear / marking / scuffs and very minor flea bites to the clay.
