This listing is for a vintage Baccarat Crystal brand glass cookie or biscuit box with lid, likely from the 1940s-1950s. Stamped on the base (hard to capture in a photo) Baccarat France.
Beautiful art deco style with a lid that fits almost air tight! Hard to find in the United States. A timeless classic piece of home decor that would look stunning on a kitchen counter holding dry goods, tea bags, coffee beans, or… of course, cookies and biscuits! Or a stunning piece to add to an old Hollywood Regency styled vanity table holding cotton balls, swabs, or makeup.
Would make a thoughtful traditional gift for 3rd or 15th “crystal or glass” wedding anniversary. A thoughtful heirloom gift for a bridal shower, wedding, or housewarming party, especially paired with a treasured family cookie recipe!
Condition: this is a used, vintage item with signs of wear. A number of deep scratches in the glass on the base. A few “rough spots” — not exactly flea bites, but just maybe a bit of wear — around the rims.
