For sale is a group of three Marilene Sawaf Watercolor/Gauche Original paintings. These paintings are from her ‘Stained Glass Ladies’ period and feature detailed dresses and posses with an almost window like view into distant landscapes Sawaf described this period:
My first series of women goes back to 1981, after my recent move to New England. At first "The Ladies" were painted with watercolor or acrylic and inspired by a luminous stained glass window that used to cover an entire wall of my grandmother's home in Egypt. I used to call them the "Stained Glass Ladies".
Each painting is matted to 4”x6” and the frame measures approximately 8.5” x 10.5”. The frames have some scratching and dents, they could be a candidate for a reframing to match your style.
