Steven Maslach Art Glass Hand Blown Glass Egg Paperweight Decoration Vintage
This listing is for a Maslach Art Glass company hand blown glass egg. The egg would make a beautiful paper weight or shelf decoration. It’s made of a heavy black glass with swirls of metallic iridescent gold. Very reflective!
Because the piece is handmade, it has some marks around the base from the process of hand blowing. In great used vintage condition! Original sticker on the base. Photos taken inside and outside to showcase the color!
Steven M. Malach founded his glass studio in 1971. A major contemporary glass artist, Maslach is well respected in the art glass community, serving on the Boards of the American Craft Council & the Glass Art Society.
Malach's artwork is distinctive and expresses elegance in form and richness in color. He developed the use of dichroic glass in the decorative arts in the late 1970's. Maslach's work is found in many museums including the Corning Museum of Glass, the Smithsonian Institute and the American Craft Museum.
