This listing is for a vintage religious devotional shadow box featuring a depiction of the Holy Family (Mary, Joseph, & Baby Jesus) behind convex bubble glass. The central image is a chromolithograph of "The Holy Family" (originally painted by Josef August Untersberger in 1926), showing Mary, the Christ Child, and St. Joseph with a basket of fruit and tools. It is enclosed in an octagonal metal frame with convex (bubble) glass. The image is surrounded by dried floral arrangements, textured foil/paper backdrops, & decorative fabric trim.
A stunning devotional image, or a lovely piece of artwork for your home. Would fit in with many decor styles, from Old World European to Art Deco. A great addition to a religious gallery wall, or the image can be removed & replaced with your own photo.
A lovely gift for a Religious Studies major, professor, or teacher, or a thoughtful gift for a new mother.
Condition: this is a vintage (nearly antique!), used piece of wall art with wear and age. The metal frame has some patina & bending, and some wear to the glass is possible. A few dried flowers are out of place (and may shift slightly during shipping). Overall a stunning piece of vintage art! The print has some foxing & wear from age.
